HID Kits

There are so many HID kits out there. I was wandering if any of the 2000 pROTEGE 1.8L or P5 owners out there have done any research on the difference between kits. I have gathered that:

entry level HID - White (about 4300K)

Purple HID - (6000K)

Blue HID - (7000-8000K)

I just want the look of s2000's or lexus's coz they are so purple. Are the 6000K ones as mentioned actually going to give you these?? And how much better than the 6000K HID's are the 7000 & 8000K kits??

Also what are some of the best value kits/stores to get them from, I wanna avoid web stores, coz a friend had a bad experience with em.

As a last question, someone was saying, that some kits need beam correction, and some dont??? And then another guy mentioned something about how you can only install them like once, so if you ever get another car you can't move em over??

All the replies...are much appreciated.

P.S.

I have been looking at the kits at www.nextcollection.com, they have a physical store, I have got heaps of PIAA stuff of em in the past, if any one knows about the kits they are selling at

http://www.nextcollection.com/html/l...-none-none.cfm

could you let me also know of your experiences.....jeeez you just gotta love forums. Thanks

In addition to my initial post (previous message), Does any one know, how offers the previous features mentioned, in what I was looking for in HID, but for a "H3" (fog light) fitment as well.

Thanks again

Protege folk,

You should look on:

http://www.hids4less.com

This is where I will be getting my HID Stage II kit from. In addition, you will want the Type II (2-wire system) kit. THis will allow you to seal your headlight assymbly. The type I has one large connector that keeps you from re-sealing. These kits use high quality Phillips components, and have a lifetime warranty. Even if the bulb burns out. Click on the "Find your car" link and find the kit (H4 for 2nd & 3rd Gens) your car.

The link worked for me. I love HID lighting but I can't justify the cost. Car makers should get off their asses and let this technology trickle down. Of course if every car has HID lighting most people will no longer want it because it's no longer exclusive.

Don't you people care that you are blinding oncoming traffic? Why waste the money when you could just hit the brights?

You just have to have them calibrated/aimed not to blind traffic. Probably a custom housing. Research is need to do this right.
