Hit and run / new front bumper

Hit and run / new front bumper
First off, happy holidays to everyone and I hope that this finds you all in good health and in good company through out the season and the new year!
Now let me get to my little question. Yesterday, I was swiped by a hit-and-run, and unfortunately, the license plate I saw was not registered and did not match the description of the car. So most likely, they'll never find the driver. I have a good insurance policy, but no uninsured/underinsured coverage (I've learned my lesson and now will add that to my premium). The adjuster came out to make the damage estimate today, and to my surprise, the $ amount for repairing the front damage is less than my $500 deductible (by about $12). So basically, it's all my responsibility at this point. The estimate he drew up involves filling, sanding, and refinishing the front bumper (along with replacing the lower grill). My question is, would it actually cost less and be easier to just order a new Mazdaspeed front lip for my P5 and have the shop just paint it and mount it? It seems that would be easier and take less time than filling, sanding, and refinishing? I'd feel better about putting a new lip on than repairing the damaged one.
So while I'm on the subject, is there a front lip that people would reccommend other than the OEM P5 or Mazdaspeed that is "stylish yet understated" and would fall within the budget of my deductible? Thanks in advance for your responses!
