Hood Scoop for P5

I found this pic over on protege5online.com. Anyone know where to get this hood? Is it an option? Carbon Fiber? Someone fill me in.

I think I remember reading a post that the guy just bought it from a place like Summit Racing and got it painted to match, the then epoxyed it or something similar to the stock hood.

I don't know why anyone would want to do that to the hood!

You guys dont like that look? I think it makes the car look more aggressive. I'm a big fan of the whole Subaru RS/WRX hood scoop. Just a matter of different tastes I suppose.

To me it seems tacked on, the WRX scoop actually matches the car because it was designed for it. A scoop for this car would have to be wide and low, and certainly farther forward on the hood. Another possibilty is an offset turbo style scoop. However, I feel the sharp, clean lines of this car make it look by far the most agressive look of any import sold today.

That's just it. It BELONGS on a Sube. It does not belong on a Protege.

I sold an Impreza RS to buy my P5. They are very different cars all around.

But here you get the best of both worlds. I'm not sure how effective it would be on a protege, but it looks neat.

I think the roof rack makes it look pretty aggressive.

I agree, this little skinny POS looks kinda cheezy, if I were to go all out and fabricate a new hood I think I would get my $$$'s worth by making it wider and putting it forward a bit.

Yucks... why bother with something that serves no purpose (actually on the otherhand, increases air drag) and costly? Since we already know that the P5 doesn't have enuff power, I'd rather spend more money on an exhaust, intake or headers.

Just my $0.02
