I´m stuck with my install, please HELP....

JAC- Is this a third generation? Normaly there is room in the above the mid and below the door handle, or right behind the map pockets. I have seen some folks install in the map pockets so they can acess the crossoevers for setting purposes. I am at work on wireless, so no pictures, sorry!
Let us know what works!

Yup, third gen. Behind the map pockets? there´s room back there? all I want is for the door panel to fit back perfectly. The spot you mentioned between the door handle and woofer is the one I´ve been looking at, but I dunno where to drill...the sheet meatl is very uneven(sp).
Thanks though, keep em coming.

on the rear (part closest to back of car) of the door, there is a little area that you can place the crossover. It looks almost like a black pocket. There should be room there. Otherwise, You might have to consider going inside the car with the xover, then running 2 sets of wires.

The black plastic thing? how did you attach it?.
My door panel has like a styrofoam thing that goes into that hole, did you remove it?.
A new problem, I was test-fitting a new location but I couldn´t put the panel back on because of the stupid door handle(the one you use to open the door) how do you get that thing through that litle hole???.

Sorry, I did not mean to sound like that is wher ei installed my crossovers. Mine are in the car as I have custom kicks, it was just a thought.
And as far as the door handle thing, I think you have to turn it to get it through the opening.

I installed mine near that black hole I think. Near the rear of the door there is a piece of metal with a hole on both sides. I think it is right below the black hole. The metal is about 4 inches wide. I mounted mine on that peice of metal. I believe that hiho also mounted his there or I am confusing somebody elses pic with the ones he posted.
EDIT
I stole this pic from the how-to on removing the front door panel. I marked the part I was talking about with the red circle. Mine is more towards the rear of the door but the pic didn't show that much.

Thanx guys, I finally found a nice spot beteween the woofer and the door handle (thanx Dave). Those JL crossovers are big *****, check out this pic and youll see what I mean:
I did system check and everything seems fine and noise free(knocks on wood), in a few min Ill put back together the interior except for the door panels because I need to take a test drive tomorow and decide where to mount the tweeters: a)surface mounted on the sail panels or b) flush mounted in the door panels.
Thanks again .

Sorry dude - just saw this thread.
Mine are located toward the rear of the door - the door panel is pretty "thick" there (like behind the map pockets) and there's a ton of room:
Easy as pie. Hope this helps - and that I wasn't too late for ya'. But it looks like you found a similar "thick" spot up front, too - wtg.

Near the mids:
This setup will hopefully go "bye bye" soon. I'm working on a plan for a 3-way component set in custom fiberglass door pods. It'll be a while b4 I start on 'em, but stay tuned....

Mine are under the seat. I included them in my updated pics. Just click on "www" below and it'll take you straight there. I did that location since the speakers are in the kickpanels. I hear you can put them in the doors too.
