Talking I got my amp today!

okay

I checked out the place that had refurbished amps and they where something like road rage ro some little no name crappy brand.. for 44 bucks and I said screw that.. they also had thump subs they made me laugh they had a 10 in sub in a box for 44 bucks and I could just see how good that would work.. LOL.. so I went out and got a MTX road thunder 2100X. I think it should work well for powering the one 12 inch pioneer sub.. and be alot better than a pyramid or a road rage..

hehe, i forgot all about mtx. a lot of ppl don't care to much for them cause of circuit city, but they are pretty good stuff. sometimes the seller can hurt a products image, no matter how good the product. good job on the amp shopping!

nothing, but big store chains have a way of making good products look bad. i try not to buy anything from cc cause when i do, it breaks right after the warranty expires. altho they have/sell good stuff, i tend not to buy from them bc their product knowledge sucks and it seems like all they want to do is make a sale, which reflects on the products themselves. even tho they are good products, how can we really know if they don't believe it themselves? OR on the opposite end, they totally believe in their crap and say everything else can't compare. i'm just saying that sometimes a poor shopping exp sometimes hinders the products actual value and quality.

but mtx is a good buy. hope you like it!

yeha I hope I do too, I just found out though that either the guy lied or didn't know but he said it was last years model so it was $100 bucks off but I think it's a year older than that but I am not 100% sure is anyone knows about the MTX RT2100X please let me know I don't think it's a big deal because it iwll still do the job it jsut looks different..

dude, $100 off is a big deal no matter what year! and, sometimes older models are better than newer ones, so you might have gotten a deal. but mtx is pretty consistent so you shouldn't have a problem, and cc covers just about everything, right? i wanted to run an mtx system, but had a hard time finding components and mids. but i would have gotten 2 mtx amps, the thunder(i think) 8000 subs and mids. but remember, sounds are all about install.
