can't actually help you out on a second gen radio wiring, but head to circut city or best buy and pic up a mounting kit (trim piece that will fill the space your old radio already fills), an alpine wiring harness adapter for a 95 to 98 protege. it's simple as taking the old headunit out, disconnecting your antenna wire and your harnesses out of the back of the old stereo.. then mounting the cage to your headunit to the mounting kit, throwing in the alpine adapter on, plugging in the radio to the harness and antenna and sliding that puppy back in. on my car, it was pretty self explanitory, though perusing through a chiltons or haynes manual for your car might not be a bad idea. hope this little bit of info helps. the best thing to do if you're completely scared, dish out the 50 bucks to circut city, pay them around 45 for the kit and harness and have them install it... all in all, you'll be out 100 bucks if you pay them, 40 bucks if you do it yourself.
