Interior color swap

I've been perusing this forum for quite some time, though i had never actually registered until today. i was hoping i could find a bit of help on the interior dash/door panels.

i was recently checking out a spray paint site, (t or d-something) because i was thinking about painting my valve cover. while i was there i say an interior paint for leather/faux leather upholstery and was wondering if anyone would know if that would work on the dash. im theming my colors in silver/blue/cf, and was hoping to refinish it in blue. i drive an '01 lx sedan with naught much but an intake. also, was wondering if anyone had found a good place to replace this million pound hood with something slightly lighter?

First, I would go with powder coating your valve cover rather than paint because it's much harder than paint and will last longer (especially on something in your engine or on your rims). It's actually baked on... but it costs some $$$. But that's just me. Also, Wings West makes a bad *** carbon fiber hood for an 01-03 Protege. I don't know what color your car is, but I know someone makes spray paint to match the exact factory color if that's what you're going for, I just don't know who it is...Actually if you know, feel free to tell me!

heh, as my name suggests, sunlight silver with blue accents. i need a new hood because the previous owner decided he'd never wash the bra on the front end, and theres millions of little chips in the paint there. drives me crazy. as far as my valve cover, i decided instead to remove it, and sand it vertically to clean it, and then brush it, paint the words blue and 1200 degree clear high gloss coat the whole thing. all im waiting for now is my gasket. also, has anyone ever heard of lightning audio? they make low priced speakers, and in my buddies car they sound goo, was wondering if anyone had anythignto compare them to?

first off, I highly reccomend checking out protege5.com, lots more users inthere to draw upon. There's a member Joka I believe who's re-done alot of his interior wiht blue, door switch panels, center console, stereo trim plate, etc. looks super smooth, he actualyl re-upholstered his doors as well.

Nowthen as far as lightning audio. DON'T DO IT!!! there's MUCH better you cna do for not much more, check the 1000 audio challange. http://protege5.com/vbb225/forumdisplay.php?f=11or just register over ther eand ask Q"s lots lot smore ppl there ever since htis site went down for a couple of months we sort of sought refuge over there.
