Just bought a Mazda 3 2.0 Sport Saloon - questions about the Stereo
Hi guys, loving the car so far, but yet to start getting to grips with it.
Firstly, I noticed on another site that the Mazda 3 Sport should have a 6 CD autochanger with MP3 playback and Aux.
Mine doesn't say MP3 per the pictures on that site but I have yet to test it (left all my MP3 CDs with my sister and ran out of CD-Rs!). Should it still be an MP3 compatible model?
Also, I've not located the Aux jack yet - where would I look for this?
Sorry for the inane questions - I will explore the car properly soon; I've just been ridiculously busy at work so not had much time with her yet.
Here's a shot of the interior, which has no "MP3" designation nor an Aux jack as I've seen on other similar stereos next to the bottom right ****:

In the US the aux jack is in the armrest storage compartment. That said it wasn't included until 2007.
As for as MP3 compatibility, again in the US Mp3 was a dealer option for single CD/Mp3 in '04-'07, 6CD/Mp3 in '08-'08.5 and then became standard after that on all stereos. All Mp3 compatible stereos have "MP3" on the faceplate.

I don't really want to fit an aftermarket unit, so I will just have to burn a shedload of CD-Rs instead. Loving the Bose system

Oh, I put wrong dates down. Again using US numbers for '04-'05 the optional Mp3 player was a single disc. For '06-'08 it was a 6CD/Mp3, and in '08.5 Mp3 became standard across the board. If you find a Mp3 Bose unit you can just swap it in.
