Yeah, that will go away. The rear defroster will be usable, just wait awhile.

You can use a certain windex. You can only get it at home depot type places. It has vineger instead of the ammonia D. IT IS SAFE TO USE!!! Just make sure it is the green stuff that says it has no ammonia.

they whole reasoning behind not using the rear defroster until after about a week or so.. longer if the weather is wet.. shorter if the weather is sunny.. is because there is a chance of shorting out the rear defroster lines.. example there is water left behind after a tint job and one of the defroster lines has a nick in it... anyone know why water and electricy dont mix.. of course its not high voltage. but it could do some damage..

i did not know that

Yeah, it cleans just fine, it just smells like vineger while you are cleaning. dont worry the smell doesnt stay.

I have used all kinds of window cleaners on my tint since day one, and it has not turned purple or had any damage.
Good tint is not suceptible to ammonia, and it is fine to use.
Keep away from it if you want - it won't do any harm NOT to use it - but just know that my Madico tint has not purpled at all in almost 2 years, and I've used all different brands of "blue" window cleaner.
Maybe test your tint in an unseen area first if you're worried.
FYI - purple tint is usually from BAD or CHEAP tint - and it's the sun that turns it purple.

So as hihoslva said, I think it depends on what kind of tint you've got on your car. Call your tinting place, ask if they recommend a specific brand or type, and if you are under warrenty for fading or discolouring..

Yea its normal...by the way you get any warantee on that? some people dont fix it unless its waranted... some places are just a#$es like that...just tell them you'll talk to your lawyer if anything and they'll just do it..because the tint film is like $5 and the rest of the $$$ is for labor..
