JVC amps?
Are they any good? I was going to get an Alpine MRP-F200 ($163 after shipping) but I found a JVC KS-AX4550 locally for $140. The Alpine is 40x4 and the JVC is 50x4.
Here is info on the JVC http://www.jvc.com/product.jsp?modelId=MODL026856
The JVC has more power for less money but I want to make sure that it is a good amp.

JVC amps....
isn't this one of those brands that delivers what they offer, but is inefficient at the same respect? i mean, i have a jensen 200watt amp and just hooked it up, barely ever used and bridged at 200watts, doesn't hit nearly as hard as my JBL (200 watts as well)... which isn't the best, but is CERTAINLY better than Jensen. the sound isn't as clear and the built in cross-over is absolutely shitty.. i think if you went with the jvc, you could be dissappointed... but after all, what does everyone else think? i personally would go with the alpine, the sound might not be as clean as the jvc may proclaim to be, but i think the sacrafice could be reliability. you're still going to get 40 watts of constant power to each channel, it will definately sound better amplified than straight off the head unit
