hello,

I am considering buying the JVC KD-SX980 mp3 head unit because it seems like a great deal for the price. does anyone have this deck? im not really concerned about the features, i just want something that is reliable, sounds good, and can play mp3s. they sell it here in canada for about $300 canadian. should i buy this deck?

I just picked mine up last night. Got it installed...sounds great. Not loaded with features, but not bad. I threw in an MP3 CD I made, like, 4 years ago to get them off my harddrive and it played fine. Very good deck (my opinion) and you can't beat the price. Oh, BTW...don't take the paper speakers they offer for free (if you are buying at Future Shop)...get them to give you a $30 credit towards a better set of 6.5" speakers. Ciao and good luck...
