Leather and folding seats

Leather and folding seats
I have the leather option in my P5 and folded them down for the first time today. When I folded them back up, there were dents and dimples from the seatbacks being pressed into the leather. I tried smoothing them out by hand, but some of the deeper ones won't come out. It seems that the back of the seat rests on the metal bracket for the bottom half and if there is any type of load on them will make them worse. If it happens enough eventually, those dents will become tears. Would this become a warranty issue if it does?

This is a good question. I have dealer installed leather and have also noticed that you need to be VERY careful when putting them up and down because there are a lot of metal pieces coming into contact. I don't know if it would be a warranty thing or what?
We all might be well advised to lay a bed sheet or something in there between our leathers and the bottom seat frame to try to prevent this. My guess would be that a torn interior would be a tough sell as a warranty claim. They'd say you did something abusive.
