license plate frame?

license plate frame?
Anyone have any ideas where to buy a cool license plate frame, Mazdaspeed perhaps, or some tasteful chrome (maybe)? I'll probably get my plate in the mail in a week or two. What do you guys have around yours?
I'm not looking to rice the car out with this. In fact I'm probably not going to do any exterior mods at all, perhaps the front spoiler lip. Just wanted something subtle.
If this has been covered before, sorry in advance. Search engine is down.

I was going to mention I found this one on e-bay. Pretty classy. Maybe too classy for someone like me.

There's also one that says "Protege" but I found that one a bit obvious.

I was thinking about taking off that fugly bracket, drilling 4 holes into the hatch (I have a P5) and bolting down the license plate securely. Then get some lights or something to cover up the holes where the bracket used to be.

Thanks for the eBay heads-up elvis! I had just bought the "Protege" frame last week that you were mentioning, but I like this "Mazda" one better, so I bought it too. Now I just have to decide .... luckily the other one was only $8.

I saw a really bitchin plate frame yesterday....I was in the Harley shop...they had some really cool aluminum CNC machined frames....both for bikes and for standard car plates...the cool part was across the top was an area where you could have up to 16 letters engraved...but they weren't just engraved...they were cut all the way through and were back lit with red led's....so what ever you had put there glowed....it was pretty sharp!

There is nothing wrong with neon, if it is done right. You are not supposed to see the tube itself, just the glow. This is the problem with how most people do neon and that in turn makes the car look ricey. Also, dont make it your first mod! Do your car up a little bit and then TASTFULLY add neon too highlight it.
As for a liscense plate frame, the TASTFUL way to do it is to mount your plate OVER the neon (car-neon-liscense plate). This way, you dont see the tube (this isnt 1988!), just the glow emmiting from behind it. This is called "Halloing" as it creates a halo effect.

So I just put on my Georgia plate the other day, and it looks just fine naked. Well, there goes my one opportunity to subtley rice up my new car.

Hey, I just received my "Mazda" plate frame referred to in the above posts and it's not burnin' my eyes ! In fact, the bottom and sides have a satin finish, so it doesn't blind you like pure polished chrome would. The Mazda emblem is sorta etched in, it's not in black. The piece is all solid stainless and is pretty heavy for a frame - good quality, not garish at all.
