Made my decision on Car audio
Thanks for your help guy's.
I am going with the:
Alpine 9807 HU
Alpine 5X7 front speakers type R
Alpine 6X9 rear speakers type S
Alpine 10" Sub type R, ported Box.
Alpine MRP-200 Amp
Amp will drive front speakers and Sub.
HU will drive rear speakers.
What do you think?

OK
I am looking for clarity, not tons of power.
When your in a small vehicle, 40RMSx2, and 100RMSX1 is good enough power.
And then you have 23RMSX2 for the rear speakers.
I have a mustang with 10rmsx4 and that is loud enough. To much power isn't good for you hearing, especially in a small confined space.
I leave it to my home system to supply power.
Marantz 8000 AV
Wharfedales all around.

Is the Alpine amp a 3/4 way amp or are you running it in trimode? To get the best SQ most do not recommend tri mode (if it is a 2 channel amp). Otherwise, you can get a mono amp and run the sub and dedicate the two channel amp to your front spkrs. If it IS a 4 channel amp, then disregard. It'll do you just fine. Also, if it's a 2 channel amp, try the trimode and if you like it, then leave it. No sense in spending extra cash on something you don't need!

ur system looks... expensive.
(looks good too!)
ur type-r in a ported sounds like a good idea.
i can see where u'd want to maximize ur subs output without having to feed it too much power.
again, if alpine is gonna be ur reason for holes in ur wallet, it's a good way to go.

How will I be spending more money?
It will be a good system that will rock. If you want to blow your ears out go ahead.
I am probably twice your age, and have more experience in audio. Loud dosen't make it better. When you are 19 you want it loud, without any sound quality consideration. When you are 40 you become wiser and realize how much your hearing was damaged from loud stereos.
I am a musician and know sound quality. I am not going to spend money on equipment I never heard of even if it is good equipment. Alpine has been around for years, and make good quality equipment. You will understand when you grow up.

AMEN BROTHER
chanting
"all hale blue"
"all hale blue"
"all hale bule"
seems to me guitar god isn't that great of a guitarest. If he did his homework he would have known blue knows his stuff and ported boxes aren't for SQ.
another bit of advise, the SQ of a 100X2 rms amp running a 1/4 volume will will alot better than a 40X4 rms amp running at 2/3 volume.(same make and model of course.

The only thing I would consider Alpine for is my next HU, but that is because my choices are very limited for XM satellite radio. I still think they are overpriced. But I would not buy their amps, speakers or anything else from them.

For:
1) Ported boxes are good for low wattage applications. My system will be low wattage.
2) Sealed box is good for high wattage applications.
3) If you think your hearing isn't affected, take a hearing test.
4) Your the kind of guys who put on a cat back exhaust to get zero HP gains, and a injen intake. Dumb, very dump.
5) Alpine will back up their ****. Other brands I don't know.
6) I am not buying a system to compete with. Here guys I have a no name, its got to be better then Alpine they spend money on advertising. I haven't seen one commercial on Alpine have you.
7) Any of you check into THD on your amps, or is that not important.
8) You guys know anything about music. NOT.

Dude, you´re an *******, if you´re the "car audio guru" then why do you bother to post here on this amateur and inexperienced car audio board ???
If you think that expensive equipment alone makes a sound system great then the only dumbass inexperienced person in here is you and just for the record, there are people here with systems that cost at least 3 times as much as yours.
I thought that age made people wiser and less dumb, either you were a real fucktard when you were young and your just an ******* now or it works backwards for you, so the older you get the more of a jackass you become.

Ah big mouth. Yes you JAC.
I didn't call anyone an *******, jackass, f---tard. Just dump and young. I didn't say any of these people didn't have a great system they probably do. And they had time to look into what they wanted.
I didn't say I was a car audio guru.
I went into a couple stores and picked one. It is a car audio system. Now, guitars, amps, home stereos. A different storey.
I don't have time to research all this ****. Yes, I am sure there are better systems. But, does a store in my city sell it. And will the store back it up.
Again, sealed for high power. Ported for low power. You guy's should know this.

1) I don't want a large sealed box Cruise boy.
2) Your a f--n idiot
3) Your a real f--n idiot
4) Do you have a cat back and a injen or Aem intake?
5) Add cost for shipping and hassles Cruise boy.
6) OK
7) Measure the voltage when the car is running. It is close to 14Volts. Even if its 13.8 you will not drop down to 30RMS Cruise boy come on. If the other amps rate it at 12.9Volts thats what they should be running at. That means voltage above will eventually damage the amp Cruise boy. If you believe .01% your an idiot.
