Angry mazda front air dam with gap??

For some reason, I just recently noticed that my mazda front air dam doesn't sit flush against my '01 ES Protege. I did some research and found two Proteges with the same air dam and there were no gaps. But there's a gap between the air dam and the front bumper of my car. I don't know if it was installed that way, or maybe somebody hit my bumper since I found scrapes on the air dam.

Does anybody have the Mazda front air dam and have the same problem or is it just lucky me?

I've been looking at air dams and even though this isn't really answering your question at all, could you tell me where you got this air dam and how much?

Thanks

I've got a little bit of a gap on mine, but I "think" it might have been my fault when I installed it. The template that came with it for mounting the brackets to the bumper was the wrong one, but I was tired of waiting to install my kit (some of it was on backorder for 2-3 months at the time), and it wasn't too hard to determine their location. When I got done, I had a small gap along the front, but I might have positioned the brackets just slightly wrong. I'm getting a new front bumper in a week or two, and am going to try and get the correct template for the reinstall of the lip.

03ESPro,

Thanks for the reply...I saw your car in the Photo section. It looks great! Unfortunately, my gap is bigger than your car's. Not only that, I can see the hardware that's holding the air dam to the bumper. I wonder if a body shop can fix it....
