OH NO!!!! that MP3 did look really sweet.
There is a BIG difference in mirror film and reflective silver film. Mirror film is just that...you see yourself, even the medium (dosent come in light, that i've ever seen)....reflective film is shinny, but still transparent. You can still see in the car. Now there's a fine line there, as reflective limo film is very hard to see into though.

My opinion - just go dark, and forget the mirror.
On a silver car (yep - I got one too), the 20% looks damn nice. I am SO glad I didn't go mirror or even reflective at all on my P5 - the whole "bank" of windows on each side just blend together, because the spaces between them are black. I think I have a few pics of my tint if you click the link in my signature.
Mirror also draws TONS of attention. If there are tint laws where you are, mirror tint is a great way to make sure you get ticketed.
Just my $.02

NO!!! I wanna get that semi-reflective **** that you see on all those stupid Lexus RX300's. That would look cool on my blue P5... if they can put it on 90% of those things, it oughta be legal.
Incidently, I parked next to one of those things the other day, and I swear, if you lowered it and shrunk it down a tad... it's pretty similar to the P5 (except P5 looks much better ).

here's what I found on window tinting in texas:
"Texas
Before 1988 Model Year:
AS-1 / 35% Film / 20% Film / 20% Film / 1988
1988 Model Year and after :
AS-1 / 35% Film / 35% Film / 20% Film / 1988
Enforcement Note : Illegal window tint can be the reason for failing state safety inspection. State DPS carry light meters especially around the Mexican Border. "
and:
"(c) The official vehicle inspection station will inspect glass coating or sunscreening devices on windshields and reject if:
(1) it extends downward past the AS-1 line or more than five inches; or
(2) it is red or amber in color.
(d) All official vehicle inspection stations will calibrate each metering device daily and will check calibration after a vehicle fails and before rejecting the vehicle.
(e) This section does not apply to government stations or fleet stations which have provided the department annual written certification that the governmental entity or fleet station has no vehicles equipped with a sunscreening device.
(f) The effective date for implementation of this section will be January 1, 1994"
it doesn't say anything bout reflective mirror like tinting, so i'm thinking the only problem would be finding mirror tinting that wouldn't exceed 35%.

Well, I'm nearly positive Madico makes a 35% reflective - not the "chrome", but it is metallic and shiny.
New York has similar laws - as far as I know, the legal limit on front windows is none - as in, you can't tint them at all. But it is SO prevalent here - I have 20% on all my windows, and I'm pretty confident that I'll only get hassled if I get pulled over for something else.
Besides, if that should happen, I'll just roll both fronts down and keep my mouth shut. I've already done that at a few check-points, where the cops just stand and look at registration/inspection tags as you drive by. Just my mild paranoia.
