Mirror Tint on Silver '02 Pro?
Im getting my windows tinted sometime in the next 2 weeks and I can't decide to get mirror tint or just 5% black tint. I know a guy that does great tints in any style.
Could you folks with tinted proteges please post images so i can see what differant tints look like on the cars?
I need to get an idea of what my car will look like and I'm giving all of you a chance to post pics of your cars!
Thanks.

This is the best pic I have that shows it. I don't remember exactly, but I think this is 30%. Oh, and it's Llumar Platinum Plus.
EDIT: This is one I just took. I think it shows it a little better.

Before you go out and lay down your hard earned cash on a tint job....check the laws in your area...and make sure you don't violate them....in some areas mirror tint of any kind is illegal....take the time to check.....
I have a friend that got a stiff ticket for it....AND he had to get the tint removed and prove that he did by showing up for an inspection.....pretty expensive lesson.

Bigger city cops might pull me for it though and seeing as how im going to college in a large city next year, i might want to get a less-illegal tint. 20%+ is just not enough for me though.

there is a difference between mirror, silver and regular. The mirror tint, is just that a true mirror at any shade, although just like all tint, if there is more light behind it that in front, it will seem less dark or in this case, less mirrored.
Silver tint is similar to mirror in color, but is not a true mirror finish. It's highly reflective as it's ALL metal, as opposed top the hybrid metal/charcoal or the cheap stuff thats all charcoal and fades to purple.
Regular tint comes in 2 styles, hybrid and charcoal. The hybrid will have a certain reflectivity to it as it has metal in it, but charcoal is a flat smoke with no reflectivity.
BTW, the Llumar Platunim Plus is a silver all metal film. I have the same film on the Jetta (35%) but i have Johnson Executive silver all metal on the Protege (35%) plus a 45% on the windsheild.
this pic kinda shows the same as cjb200 but on a different color car.

Also look at the film, most films are not metal and will fade with years. The one I selected is from FormulaOne automotive tint they have a WEB site where you can get the closest installer. Great company and great product.
