Question Momo Performance Boot

Hi all,

Anyone else had trouble installing an aftermarket shifter boot? I just bought a nice Momo one and when it came time to install I noticed that the way the OEM boot fits on is a bit different then other cars I have had.

Rather then slipping the boot over "square" it looks like the P5 uses cuts in the boot to attach it.

Anyway my new Momo boot doesn't seem to want to fit. I'm debating cutting it down to resemble the original one but am hesitant to do it.

Any ideas from you expert installers?

Thanks,

David

i have a momo shift boot and when i installed, i had the same problem, my center console would never fit right...but when i got my b & m shifter installed, i had them fix it, they cut it...yeah thats right, they cut it...i was reluctant about it, but it looks great, my installer cut it and used spray adhesive to give it that clean tight look...the center console fits right too...
