Mounting a new head unit

Hey everyone... I have installed my new Kenwood MP3 CD player and I'm really happy with it. I got the Metra pocket for underneath, and it looks better than I thought it would (i.e. not as "cheap") I wanted to find out how you guys mounted your HU's, whether you used the rubber post on the back of the CD player (unfortunately the post from the stock unit won't fit on the kenwood- i need a smaller guage screw), or if you actually mounted the pocket to the HU and slid both in as a whole unit. I was thinking of getting some thick rubber or felt tape to put on the top of the pocket to help reduce vibration between the pocket and the HU. Thanks all.

packed it with medium density foam i had laying around. Itis snug and oesn't bounce around. I can also pull/do work/put back with no fuss. I would 'prefer' that a thief would just pull and not tear up the dash!
