Question MP3 CD Players

I need a bit of help shopping:
I've narrowed it down to three MP3 CD players with similar functions, in similar prices.

1. Sony MP3 CD Car Deck (CDX-S2210S) $149

2.Clarion MP3 CD Car Deck (BD357MP) $169

3.Pioneer MP3 CD Car Deck ( DEH-3700MP) $179

This deck is going to be powering the factory speakers only until I find the right set of 6x9s and front speakers (at the right prices). Eventually a sub'll get thrown into the mix.

The Pioneer is a very nice unit. I just wasn't too pleased with the build quality, thought I was about to rip the volume **** off at any second.

Do not buy the sony there garbage.
I dont have any experience with the clarion but will recomend something by alpine, or blaupunkt.

I have this and am very happy. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-ve966Ki...0&I=023SYRACUS
4 preouts, cant ask for much more, although I always wished I had 6 so I could have the sub seperate from the back speakers.

WERD^ Check out the Alpine - excellent tuner section. Decent cd capability.

I more in a favor of Pioneer. Make sure that cd player you buy has an option for user to set their own EQ.

P.S. I agree with Zerocover, from my experience Sony has been garbage...

I currently have a alpine dvd player. It costs a little more but whatI wanted was to use dvds to store the mp3s. This way I could have 1 dvd with alot more mp3s on it than having about 3 or 4 cds in the car. I don't have any screens for it because my main purpose wasn't to watch video, but I could always hook up screens to it later on if I want to.

I looked at Alpine units but they were all far too expensive, the only ones in my price range had no power. I've decided on a 50Wx4 MP3 CD player from Clarion, 1 step up from the one I had originally looked at I think, if I remember correctly it is 199 but it has a custom EQ feature, and all the necessities without the useless goodies like OEL display or fancy motorized faces. It also looks great imo so I think that's the one I'll get. I'm afraid Pioneer might be too cheap. Am I wrong? I'm immediately wary of things that are cheap but with the same features.

Don;t expect 'power' out of a head unit. Buy the amp.

I don't have an amp with my system and it sounds great! However it's just 4 speakers, no sub.

true!! amps aren't need for only 4 speakers, but once the sub comes, an amp with 3-4 channels would be best to hook it all up to that!
