my sunroof
i just forund out that my sunroof is not stock.I guess it was installed by the owners before me.any way, it opens under the panel instead of above and on an angle, and to top that it closes automatic. so i feel like im in bmw.....minus hp, german engineering, luxury an the $50000 price tag

Hi hihoslva,
Mine doesn't close automatically ... I have to keep my finger on the button to make it close entirely (that **** me off by the way).
What I want is ... all one push button for all window, like the driver side window.
Module to do that cost in Canadian funds 50$ per door, plus an other 50$ for the sun roof. (that **** me off too ...)

I know that the factory roof does not close automatically - I was only commenting on the fact that it slides inside the roof panel, rather than above it - "they all do that".
The auto close is nice on my aftermarket roof. It's also interesting that not many automakers have one-touch window controls (auto down) on ALL windows, only the driver's. I'm sure some do, but I have yet to see it on any car other than those with only two windows (like the Vette - both windows are one-touch down, but then again - there are only two). I always wonder why not.

Probably cost too much, each window need a module that analyse the current used, if the current increase that's because the window is at its top position or an object obstruct the window.
The driver side is probably a DOT rule, that's why they only make the driver side ... so we have to pay for other window, but when you buy module for other windows you can't use the driver side auto down so you need an additional module for that window.
Probably next year I will invest 250$CAD to autoclose everything when arming the alarm.

Ever hear of a crank window? And plenty of cars do NOT have the auto down feature.
Where did you come up with this brilliant piece of automotive logic?
