New custom denim seat covers with LINK TO PICTS!
After sweating my *** off for an hour in the parking lot during my lunch break at work, installing the things they are in! For those who don't know, these are custom denim seat covers ordered from seatcoversdirect.com. I ordered the two-tone black and gray/silver with mazda logos(front only) for the front and the back seats. Initial impressions:
These ARE custom. The front seats fit almost totally flush against the seat and they have cut outs for the ***** on the drivers side and for all other necessary areas. They come in 3 pieces..one for the seat bottom, one top and one head rest. They have cut-outs that allow for the side impact airbags. They are double-stitched denim and feel like a pair of jeans before they are washed..think wranglers not prewashed levis. But, you can tell they will get softer with age. I think the two-tone looks sporty and cool. I had reservations when I ordered them, but initially I am very pleased. They are very easy to install.
Noted draw backs: The rear doesn't fit as well as the fronts. The seat bottoms fit great and tight but the backs simply tuck under the seats and I can see how they might be prone to pulling up at times. Pretty much the entire back of the back seat is covered with holes for the locking latches, but not the child seat tethers though you can still attach the tethers if you desire.
On the whole, I love the color and feel and the protection they provide. I plan on also coating them scotchguard since I have a new baby on the way
I will post pictures when I get the chance. Since, i don't think anyone else has ordered denim seat covers, if you have any questions give me yell, and I will try and answer them. BTW, I paid $280 shipped for front and back. These beat the hell out of the cheap ones I got from Pep-Boys.

Thanks blackp5! I am really pleased as well. More than I thought I would be..no they just have the Mazda logo but you could get no logo and order some of the P5 badges that people sell and sew them on yourself.

Very nice ironman, I think I remember an old post about denim seats. I think you are the first to actually post some for examples...the front seats are very nicely put together...looks almost flush to the seats.
