No Space!!!
so i got the measurements and specs to see if my dvd player will fit in a custom console btwn the front seats and found out it won't! dammit! it would've been sweet but the player would've been flushed against the seats w/o the housing, so adding the console would compromise the integrity of the seats.
but i got plans for a new location and will post pics when it's done. kinda sucks having an import when you see all the custom jobs in magazines in huge, spacey suv's...

how about extending the center console to the face of the rear seat? i had planned to do that for my changer, but opted to just plant it under the passenger seat.
oh wait, you said DVD, DVD players don't like to be vertical or on their side, but depends on the manufacturer and style.

re-read my post!!!! i said "...DEPENDS ON MANUFACTURER AND STYLE"
99% of indash CD or DVD players are not recommended to be installed at any more than a 30degree angle. Even most non-in-dash DVD players are not meant to be at more than a 30degree angle.
changers are a different story, hence the adjustment for angle.

i wanted a custom center console, but it would hinder the two front seats (push the seats slightly inward). yeah, i have the icon-tv dvd player (tray style) and can only be mounted horizontally. but i am planning to do some custom work this weekend...
