Ordering Rear Cupholders?

Did a search and nobody's discussed this yet. So I'll ask.

Checked the FAQ which explains the rear cupholder option on the Japanese Familia and that it will fit our cars.

Has anyone done this yet?
Will Corksport import them? I haven't asked them yet in case people have already asked. Why pester them?
Anyone else import them?

Thanks.

Unhappy Rear Cupholders

I e-mailed a UK dealer about rear cupholders and they sent me this e-mail. It's too rich for my blood to import.

DEAR SIR,
THE PRICE FOR A REAR CUP HOLDER IS-
£41.99 INC VAT AND POSTAGE.
THIS IS WORKING ON A MAZDA 323 1998 ONWARDS
REGARDS

Oh well. I'll keep looking as well. It'd be very handy to have. Always have people in the back of my car and it sucks not having cup holders back there. I'm still trying to figure out why they never included it in the Pro's in North America. Surely it's not a huge cost reduction or something.

OK. I've got a few exporters from Hong Kong and Japan looking into importing this. It's classified as an accessory. In other words it doesn't come stock in the Familia's but you can buy it from the dealerships. We'll see how it goes next week then. They are pretty sure they can get it.

Only thing I wonder about now is the price. I think it's gonna be steep.

Thanks on the color thing. Do you have the codes for LX and SE interiors as well? If I can get these I might start getting a whole lot of them in and selling them.

And as for other accessories, there are some shown on the Hong Kong site:

They've also got a neat little MazdaSpeed section:

Yeah, I went to inquire under the Inquiry Form but it won't submit as it's not configured correctly. And I couldn't find another email address. If my exporter doesn't come through I'm gonna go through each dealership in Japan that has email, english speaking or not.

Some of those MazdaSpeed items are very cool - the oil filler cap, and the badges are nice-looking.

Would be nice to get a contact who can get this stuff. I do know someone in Hong Kong (not with Mazda or anything, just a guy) - maybe he can get his hands on some of these parts - make a little money for himself selling to us. If everyone else's plans fall thru, I'll see about contacting him - he's not around right now, but should be back in 2 or 3 weeks.
