i run an icon-tv screen over a blaupunkt hu. to be honest, i think most ppl are so impressed with the fact that you have a screen, they don't normally care what brand it is.

go over the pro's/cons b4 buying it, even if you can get a deal on it.

It's your ride man and your money to hell with what other think. If they are hating then chances are they are jealous. Go for it. When the monitor is out and you are watching DVD's nobody is going to compare the two brands together. I don't know what kind of deal you are getting but have you looked into the in dash dvd player Pioneer makes if you are that worried about it.

Pioneer DVD Player

You can find this one online at The Zeb for $429, TMS Electronics for $410, or MMXpress for $419. I am not affiliated with any of these sites and have never ordered from them so do research before purchasing. I just saw these prices for that unit on their website.

jellybean98,
yeah that was one of my options but 400 is out of my budget, i can get the panasonic for about half of what the pioneer is costing...i think i will get it....

jellybean, you should look into 5.6" screens for the hr's. dunno if you seen the 4" screens, but the 5's seemed small to me, so i can only assume the 4's would be even smaller. in fact i think my 5.6" are too small, i really wanted the 7" wide modules in my hr's but couldn't fit them.

just a suggestion.

Question

Onehawaiian,

I love your car, nice mods to it, when I get the money I would love to run some video in my car but am unsure b/c I just got my p5 a week ago and have all sorts of ideas for it, plus I am attempting to keep it calssy since I am a junior in college and will have it well into my career. I don't plan on putting a big system in there but have also always loved the idea of dvd in my car....any suggestions????

Thanks a lot!!!

OneHawaiian,

I emailed you before about the measurements on your HR monitors because the Audiovox 5.6 monitors we carry are to big it looks like. We have a trim ring for the monitors to put up against the headrest and it is really close to the edge. Could you send me some close up pics of your headrests and could you take measurements or coud you tell me the exact model nubers of them so I could look them up. Thanks for the help.
