Pedal Install Help
Anybody install any pedals on their car that weren't clipped on in the back? I just received my Sparco Racer pedals and you have to mount them by drilling. I tried to drill, but the piece was just too thick to penetrate. Any help is appreciated as this is really pissing me off.

sounds like the drill bit was not sharp to start. if the tip of the drill bit is dis-colored blue-ish, it's time to buy a new bit. try to start drilling a pilot hole. if the finished hole size is close to 1/4", try a pilot hole of 3/32" or 1/8". after the pilot holes are done, re-drill the hole to the size you need. when you drill the pilot holes, drill for a little bit, and then let the drill bit cool down, or it will also turn blue. once the drill bit has turned blue, the bit has been over heated, and the cutting edge has been lost due to friction. there are also some types of cutting oils/solutions to use, but avoid using them unless you really want to spend a lot of time cleaning the inside of your car. hope this helped.
