Cool Pimp Trunks!

Anyone have some sweet trunk mods they want to show off? I have decided to put all my energy into that for now.....I'm looking into a sweet system, some lights, flipflop [maybe], some motorized panels to hide amps and woofers. So, I need some ideas! Anyone got any [maybe some pics]?

Kinda like our friend from www.mazdaracer.com:

Only, I want to go more stealth and a really finished look with carpet and such....

Thanks!

Re: Pimp Trunks!

HAHAHHAHA, ya that was the 3rd time i went and changed it all around, never did get to finish it....but i did have plans to carpet, glass and plexi it....but now it's going to go into the Jetta one of these days.....

Alot of the 3rd gen and P5 guys have some pretty wild stereos, most of us 1st gen guys are alittle more performance oriented than show....IMHO

yea, i did the performance thing with my honda. i have found a stock pro is already quicker than most modified civics and such. so i decided to have fun and take advantage of the roomy trunk and advantages of a 4 door! i'll ask the p5 guys i suppose. thanks!

p.s. that is quite a large list of mods you have there! 8)

collected a few goodies, hah! bud, daryl is what we call a nut! personally, i don't think it has anything to do that he's so good with cars and knows what he's talking about, it's more to do with the fact that he's owned the car so long and has been racing it so long, he's got an obsession with modifying it. i know it, he's sittin' there thinkin up new **** he can put on that car (or dreaming up an idea for his jetta that he's already had done on the protege!!!). as far as systems, i was thinking about this **** too. i seriously need something better than what i've got (eventually).. but to give you an idea of what i've been contemplating, under seat mounted amplifier and out of the way, custom seat back ported sub enclosure for 2 10's (i think protege king had some sort of set up like this he was selling a ways back), totally hidden install with 2 10 inch JL's or something as good, and a jbl amp (if i can find the power and the size i want that will fit under my passenger's seat), etc. currently, i have no money for such a dream, and the onlything remotely impressive is the sound i can generate by running my sealed box with the seat back down, aside from that, it's just a system, just enough to show a little thump off. my hint to you is search the audio forum for installs in first gens... there are alot of options out there dude, it's just finding the right one that fit's your tastes!
peace
