Pro Shift Knobs

Pro Shift *****
Now I know tons on people here have and love their Teamvoodoo shift *****...but I was lookin at the Greddy's today and they got some interesting ones.
One is a "Countershift" ****...weighs 13.5oz(!). How would a heavier **** change your shifts? Cause on the other end on the spectrum they have an ultralight 1oz ****. Without really being able to try them out...does anyone know how either of these would affect shifts?
Also they have the type as M10 P1.25. Is the thread on a Pro 1.25mm?

I think its best if you just get a **** that you like the style and feel of.
as for the threads for the P5....YES they are M10 P 1.25 meaning they are 10mm in diameter and have a thread pitch of 1.25.

I have the Greddy shift **** you are talking about and like it alot, but it is more for the feel and style. The only issue with the style is that has a much smaller bottom than the stock one, so I would suggest getting a new boot becuase the stock one sticks out past the botom of the **** a little. As far as the extra weight helping in speed of shifts, i didn't notice that major of an increase, but the **** felt alot better in my hand. I would suggest it, to me it looks alot better than the voodoo ****, but to each his own.

Mass of a shift **** affects these properties:
1. vibration damping
2. inertia (resistance to move)
3. momentum (ability to keep moving once it's moved)
Thus heavier shift *****:
1. vibrate less in your hand.
2. is comparatively more difficult to get moving, but this is negligible since even a child can easily move 13.5 oz.
3. less effort is required to keep the **** moving to its destination.
In summary, all it takes is an initial effort and the shift **** essentially moves itself to its destination.
Lighter ***** comparatively require you to keep pushing/pulling until the destination.
