Pure novice - please help- getting a 02 ES GT tommorow!

Hi I'm getting a Protege ES GT 02 tommorow. I want to do some minor upgrades to the stereo system. I've already scanned the message boards but don't have a firm answer on the following:

Q1) I have a Pioneer DEHP2000 deck- how do I adapt this to the double size deck?

Q2) Do the Pioneer TS-A6867 6x8's fit fine into the front door?

Q3)I don't want power but will the deck (22W RMS) be adequate for these two speakers plus the rear stocks?

Q3B) If not, whats the cheapest amp I can get for clarity - power is not important.

Q4) are the stock wires thick enough?

To answer some of these questions in general they make kits for all kinds of cars to adapt din to double din or vise versa. The stock wire size won’t be a factor unless you’re going to build an extreme high end system with the best of the best. And a rating of an Amp of 22 rms doesn't reflect the cleanest output of 22 watts, that’s the peak output with all kinds of distortion. You’ll blow speakers quicker with less power then you will with more power. Once you clip the Amp your speakers are doomed!

My 6x8's didn't fit in the rear deck but I didn't try them on the front one. They will definitely fall through if you try and put them in the back. When I'm working on my system this weekend I'll see if they fit (no guarantees I'll actually get around to it). I'm still kind of unsure about how everybody has been mounting theirs. I saw something about the plastic not being strong enough. I guess I'll find out when I start tearing stuff apart.
