Angry Rant Time!

Alright folks, why the hell can't any manufacturer build a Double-DIN unit that has CD/Cassette/MP3 capabilities all in one!? Yeah, yeah, tapes aren't that great, but I still have a lot of them and I'd rather not have to go through the hassle of transferring them to CD, blah, blah, blah...

Firkin' bastards!!

Also, why the hell don't they make a Double-DIN unit that has a detachable face!? What, do people NOT want to steal Double-DIN units? I don't think so. They're a larger target, and likely get MORE attention than a regular sized deck.

$^#%@#!! bastards!!! $%#^^$%#@ morons!!!!! Gol farkin' $#&@& ****-*** <insert Tenacious-D rant here> $^#%%@ mother grabbing $^#&&$#* douche bags!!!!

Thank you. I'm done now.

You probably don't see a double din with a detachable face because that would be a big face to have to carry around. I know I never took my single din face off because I got tired of how bulky it was to carry around with me.

My answer is two single din units in the double din hole! Both Blaupunkt and Poineer/Premier make in dash multi-changers now that will fit underneath a headunit, and both make MP3 compatable headuints. Both have security of various flavors, but the Blaupunkt stuff has really cool security features. Removalble faces can be repalced. The Blaupunkt stuff uses a credit card like security card that has to be installed for the radio to funciton. If you loose both cards you are SOL- the unit will have to go back to the factory to get reprogrammed. No reciept, no programming. Thier in dash changer also is coded and must be activated when installed. If yanked and ran with, it will have to be reactivated with installed in the theif's car.
Pretty cool, and they look sharp together! I got the sliver trim ring to go around the changer, and the two match up very well in looks.
So if fustrated with one double, think two singles!!
