the protector is held on with double sided tape.....I would be careful just pulling it off as it could take your paint as well....
what you could do is to work a piece of monofiliment fishing line under one end and work your way up to the tape...you pull it back and forth and it will CUT through the tape...once you are all the way from one end to the other the protector will lift off...and then you will just need to get some adhesive remove of some sort....even use WD-40 and get the rest off the tape mess off the bumper.
