Rear speaker install

Is it ok to mount 6x9s on the underside of the rear deck instead of the top? I am having clearance problems with the deck cover.

Sure as long as they fit and the cone doesn't hit. You also should take some time to ensure the front and rear waves are seperate.

Thanks, I figured it wouldn't hurt anything as long as nothing was touching.

I'm new to this stuff. How would I do that, and what exactly is it?
