Removing Door Sills...

Hi Guys,

Just got an MTX 4250D off ebay. I'm just waiting for it to come in. I've got a couple of questions. How do you remove the door sills for the power cable/RCA cables? Do u run the power cables and RCA cables under the carpet on the Driver's side and the passenger's side ? if so, how do you remove the carpet ? Also, Does anyone have pictures of where the clips are for the stock Double Din radio? Thanks.

You don't wanna run the RCA cable beside the power cable because you'll get a horrible buzz. Like blue ledz said if you run one on one side and one on the other you'll be just fine. The "rule" for running power cable next to RCA/remote wires is 12 inches. The bigger power cable you've got the more you'll have to follow this.
But to answer your question they just pop out...don't be scared to give them a pull, they'll take some abuse. I'd use an old fork and pop it up or a flat head screw driver with something under it(a sock) to protect your paint. In the Gen 2s there are these stupid clips that if your not careful with will fall down in the hole and there's nuthin for the sill to hang on to.
