are you sure that www.katskinz.com is the correct spelling of the URL? it doesn't work.....and I did a search for katskinz and there is nothing listed.

ANYWAY....there are a few shops around Houston that are doing leather interiors for the dealers....I have seen a yellow P-5 and a red one...both had black leather with either yellow or red inserts and "Protege 5" embroidered into the back if the seat...they looked really sharp. the fit and finish was top notch too. If a dealer in your area is doing this too....ask them who they are using. This is one way you can see their finished product before you lay down your green.

Yeah, the only "cover" i've seen is the leather seats. Looks nice when installed properly in the P5. Pretty big custom job though.

I think the manual says not to use seat covers cause it will mess up the side airbags.

well if you don't have side air bags....that can't be in issue... but I can't see how it would make any difference...that is unless the side air bags are in the seats? I don't think so are they?

the dealer that had done the red and yellow P-5 tacked on $1500 for the leather...the shop only charged them $900 to not only make the seats...but to install them too. and if you have ever done a REAL recover of a set of seats? its worth every bit of $250 or so dollars to have someone else do it....its not rocket science...but CAN be a pain in the butt.

So except for the expensive www.wetokole.com or the cheap looking 'Elegant' brand from Wall-Mart, there's nothing else?????

Leather is not a seat cover damn it.....

Looking for seat covers!!!

Thank you

Thank you everyone for your input.

Was just wondering if anyone had, for what its worth i went with the elegant ones from wally world for now LOL

I think they look ok JMHO, not going to be doing alot to it for now and they were $50.00 for the pair so if i get sick of em off they come.

leather would be nice but remember im in freeze your *** off Western Canada so... we will see.

Racer, personally I don't care for leather at all...and I don't live where it gets all that cold.....but rather on the OTHER end of the spectrum...HOTTER THAN HELL TEXAS.....so you open the car door after its been outside with the windows rolled up and sit down only to have the hide blistered on the back of your tookus....and IF you happen to be wearing shorts...HOLY DOO DOO!! OUCH!! Thank you very much...I will stick with a cloth interior!

Yeah - the correct link is www.katzkin.com - no "z".

Oh, and Joe_pro - the leather really isn'a a "big custom job" - according to Katzkin, the P5 is a VERY simple self-install.

PLEASE don't pay a dealer for these seats - they are RAPING you.

My quote from Katzkin was $679 for two-tone leather (colors of your choice, or you can go single color). This also includes leather door inserts to replace the cloth pieces of the door panels, which many dealers just blow off and don't put in. This is front AND rear - everything's there for that price.

This is an amazing price for some real nice-looking leather seats. They even sell instal kits with hog rings and hog-ring pliers for about $30 - not bad. And you can have a leather steering wheel cover made to match for around another $30.

I think this is my next project - I was called at home by a Katskin rep a day after I emailed tham, and he said install is very easy on the Pro - simple one day project, and all instructions for DIY are included (and they're also at the website to look at before hand).

And I believe they sell a seat set for cars with side airbags, too - not sure, as I don't have 'em.

Those are the "KATSKINZ" leather seats that the dealer gets put in them. I have the Black with silver perforated inserts in my MP5, they are so awesome, silver stiching, and embroidered as well. Very high quality, soft leather....def player

Nice seats, but like I said, no need to deal with the DEALER

They'll bang you on the price, just for the sake of markup.

How much did you pay, Double D?

Oh, BTW - Katzkin also sells seat heaters for $100 each with leather purchase ($139 each w/o leather purch.)
