side/rear shirts. where? bosal fit?
I've got a 01 sedan and am looking at the side and rear skirts. Racing beat and others all have them for sale, and I think they are just dealer parts but getting them cheaper.
Anyone actually bought them and installed them? Easy to install? WHere did you buy them from? How much?
Also, I have the bosal exhaust. Due to the size of our exhaust, anyone know if the tip is going to hit the new rear skirt??

the mp3 side and rear skirts are factory quality and made of polypropelyne just like the rest of the body panels on the protege (the non-metal ones that is).. they fit like factory and come with mounting hardware.. keep in mind they're not painted out of the box so fitting and painting could run you the same cost as the skirts themselves..
you are best off ordering the parts from a dealer because then there is no freight charge.. just something to think about, yes maybe you'll pay $30 more up front for each part from the dealer BUT think about how much shipping those body panels will cost if you do it mail order, plus what if they're hurt in transit?
i mean, my dealer was just a tab under $200 for the mp3 side skirts kit, and no freight charges.. not bad.. not bad.. plus the dealer network tends to get parts a little quicker anyway..
the bosal exhaust, if installed properly, should clear the rear skirt with no problem.. I am planning on getting the mp3 rear skirt or wings west rear skirt (if that ever comes out) to eliminate the gap the bosal exhaust has right now.
good luck..
