someone stole my back seats!!!

update
i got a call from the kid's mom who took my seats. she apologized for the inconvenience, but told me that calling the cops was not necessary because now her kids are "marked" by the tpd and that they are just teenagers who don't know any better. ummm... sure... good parenting. if i did that when i was a teenager, i would get a good belt whoopin and my parents would trade me to the victim as an indentured servant till my debt was paid.
anyway, she asked if i would stop the petty theft (that cop told me that's the best charge i can get on those kids and i guess he told her i was filing charges cause i told him i wanted to get those kids busted) charge on her sons in return for new seat cushions. i told her i would call her back later today after consulting with my lawyer (hahaha... he's not a lawyer yet but it's good to scare people) to see what the best course of action is and i will be serving her with legal paperwork that binds her to her statement. so now i'm waiting for the law student to get back to me with legal looking paperwork that's simply a contract in writing.
maxx mazda,
after thinking long and hard about it and after getting over the initial frustration, anger, and feelings of being violated, even i think it's pretty damn funny. first, my dog pukes all over my seat cushions, then i clean them, then i take a dump, then some kids steal them, then they shoot them up, then i find them, then the cops took them (and still have them), then the mom calls and offers me new ones and everything will hopefully be dandy again. sounds like a hollywood classic. i think i will call it "the adventures of rear seat cushions". speaking of which, i need to call the dealer to see how much new cushions will be.
pr5owner,
when i happened upon my seat cushions and the mom was giving me lip, those were the exact thoughts that came to my head... well, not really, i just wanted to pick up the seat cushions and throw it at all of them, then take the air gun and shoot them with it to show them my shooting skills i picked up as the brother of a marines marksman.
i'll be getting an alarm this weekend from the local stereo shop and one of those video things from radio shack. my porchlight is really bright and i park right outside my unit, so it shouldn't be a problem. thanks guys for letting me vent.

I find it Ironic that the parent would make such a statement..."they are only teenagers." Unfortunately this is what is wrong with the parenting of today. Those kids need to be punished or they will believe that they can get away with the same vandalism again. Kids need to know what is right and wrong, by their parents "covering" for them teachs them nothing. I hope that those replacement seats cost a couple grand, I want their mother to beat the shi$ out of them for doing something so stupid and costly.
Make sure that you include in your document "that they are at fault." And have them sign it.
