Splitter

Just a question. What is the purpose of a splitter (the thing underneath the lip)? And how much does it cost?

I would say that in racing applications it would be used to either provide more downforce, and/or redirection of cooler air to either the cooler or intercooler. Though in case of the car pictured above, I think it is for the show purpose only. Not sure about pricing though, good luck.

on a racing car,, maybe to add more downforce to the front of the car , by not allowing to much air to get under the bumper ,, on a street car ,,, a gum on floor remover, shoveler for snow with a maximum height of 1" , something so complicated we all think of it as useless ......
yeah that's it useless .......

Yeah on race cars it can do a number of things depending on the application. Some will direct air directly towards the engine block, others can feed air to oil coolers, and most also prevent under carriage lift...
