stupid future shop installers!!!

well i just spend an hour and a half taking off my drivers side door pannel cause my speaker wasn't working...all it turned out to be was a disconected wire (thank god!!) one of those red clips that attach 2 wire ends had come uncliped..incompentent stereo installers!

now that i've figured out how to take the door pannel off i probably could have installed the speakers myself...ah well

ya that's what I meant in the first place. Are you using the stock HU? How's the sound?

And how much did they charge for installation? BTW...since you have a Canadian model, can you tell me what's the stock speaker size? Seems that we have different size than the US models.

That's what I'm expecting. But apparently someone mentioned they have 5.5 or 6.5 at the front. But the rear ones are pretty consistent...everyone seems to agree with 6.5 at the back.

My buddy who does car installations for a living says they are 6.5 all the way around on all 4 doors... What's correct here? I want to order my speakers today but want to make sure I have the right information.

5x7, 5.25, and 6.5 will all fit in the front. i'm running 5.25's up front. adapters are needed to make the round (not oval) spkrs fit.

Not to beat a dead horse but how do you connect the speaker to the stock wire harness? I've never installed a system before but I have a $200 gift cert. for future shop so I would like to get some speaker and install them myself.

Edit: And I read that the rear speaker are harder to install because of the non-standard 3 hole pattern Mazda used. How to get around that?
