you will probably have to drill new holes...shouldnt be a problem with some screws and lock washers bolts

Not to beat a dead horse but how do you connect the speaker to the stock wire harness? I've never installed a system before but I have a $200 gift cert. for future shop so I would like to get some speaker and install them myself.
you will have to cut the wires of the OEM speakers then splice the ends and get some butt connectors for the wires

You can get an adapter for the rear as well, Scosche SAF7, which you can get from sounddomain.com.

You don't need to cut the stock speaker wires harness. The stock speaker simply unplugs from the harness, and you can connect to the harness with terminal ends.

Just get some terminal ends and a short piece of wire, and plug the terminal ends into the stock harness on one end and connect to the new speaker on the other. How you connect on the speaker end will depend on whether your speaker has terminals or wires; mine had terminals. You can either solder the wire to the terminals or put terminals on the wire and just go terminal-to-terminal.

Can you show me what kind of speaker harness do I need? I'm a total tard when it comes to car stereo.

I just pick up my ride today and found the stock speakers really have to go.

Another question for nightowl

Ok...I found out FutureShop charges $40 CAD to install a pair of speakers. Since you had your stuff installed by them can you say anything about the installation? Like does your car developed door rattle noise afterwards?

But where can I get the wire harness? Anyone? Should be pretty easy if I have everything I need.

omg people!!! why would you even bother with futureshaft? THEY SUCK!!!!!!!!! they are the worst installers on the face of the planet (no joke) installing stuff yourself is the best way, if you don't know how, reaseach it (what forums are for) and plus you will become more familiar with your car.

Nighthowl has a good point. I got my stuff installed second day I had the car. That was back in late oct. and I didn't know about teh forum nor did I want to rip apart a new car. With the information on this site however I have taken everything that has to do with audio apart and it is very easy. Anyone should be able to do it.
