ANy ways I have to go wiht blue. I don't care for either product line and wouldn't want to get into the argument of which sucks worse.

THat is one THing I have always loved about JL. You could put them in a bucket and they'd sound good. THere reccomendations have always dilevered as promised results, plus they give you an entire book for the results obtained from different sub setups, box types and power usage.

It's cause Jl acually goes out of there way to acually test there products unlike some other companies. Jl is one of the best companies out there cause of it. Not to badmouth other companies are just as good and perhaps even better as well.

sony

hey, everyone has an opinion . I agree, though, that doing away with the ES line was sony's biggest mistake ever. The new stuff, although very flashy and cool looking, performs nothing like the old ES stuff used to. None of the current models have more than 2V pre-outs, and nothing more than a 95 db S/N ratio. I'll be the first to admit that sony's definately changing from product performance to bringing in the $$$, but before you dog it, consider this: in 1998, sony was like 12th in car audio sales in the US, and in 1999 (with the release of the Xplod line), they became number 1 in audio sales (the most successful ad campaign in the history of any electronics company, EVER).

Yep, no one can bullshit like Sony.

I am still amazed that they sold anything, sice it was originaly the ugliest products I have ever seen. The Amps are still *** ugly but the HEad untis definitly look better.

SOny did do ONe good thing, Listen close becuase I'm never saying this again. Sony Catalized car audio technology. Althoguh there stuff was crap, their ability to confinve a buyer that they could offer more feature, although many useless for less money ment that so much of the market was lost that other companies had to advance themselves quickly.
