subs working as normal speakers, wtf

hey, leave it at this, you do what you can for the money you can spare. i've had a little money to spare and what i've got is what i can spare. what i can say is for about 1400 dollars spent, it including parts that i no longer use. altogether, i'd say, i have $300 in the head unit, $50 in the rear speakers, $75 on my front speakers, $80 on my box, $120 on my subs, $0 on my amp... so i'm going to re-adjust my system expenditures to $625 dollars. this car just keeps eatin money and i'm soon to change out subs and amp if i get the money together, and you know what, i'm going to get what i can afford without being embarassed about what i've got . all in all, if what you can afford is a shitty rampage amplifier, then off to pepboys you go for your system. i went to a sound-off this past weekend just to gauge what my spl output was somewhere between 115 and 120... i have to get it measured more accurately, but it's good enough for me .

If the amp is on HPF (High Pass FIlter) nothin but vocals and mids will come out, No bass. by switchin it to LPF you can listen to the bass witout the vocals and mids comin outta the voicecoils on the sub(s). Also running one 2channel amp bridge both subs down from 4ohm to 2, or 8ohm to 4, this will increase the power of the subs and make them hit better. YOu can also bridge them with a monoblock amp.
IF you need wiring diagrams let me know, tell me what u have and the specs and ill make specific diagrams for ur setup.
