Unhappy Tail light smoke spray

Any of you guys done or seen smoked tails on a Pro5? I've been trying to research for about the last 9 months what sprays are available and how it turns out. The only cars I've seen that have used a spray have all come out looking hazy. I thought if I could spray the inside it should retain the gloss and sheen of my tail lenses and give it a factory smoked look. I'm envisioning something similar to the VW GTI smoked tails. Not completely black, just tinted slightly. I found one called Nite Shades--the only one that I've found any real info for--but it says use on outside of lens only. ARGH!!! I need some help here! Please!!

Since the color of the taillight lens is impregnated in the plastic, spraying the Nite Shades on the inside really doesn't do anything. It's been tried before, though I can't find the thread.

You're best bet it seems is the Nite Shades stuff. The more you put on, the darker it'll get. And you should use some clear coat over it to keep it looking good.
