Tinted Headlights
#2
what part are you talking about tinting?
I can't imagine why ANYONE would want to tint the lenses....as it DECREASES your visibility at night......
BUT YES...you can do it...you just have to disassemble the headlight housiing...the put them back together..and ensure they are sealed very well afterwards.....or they will just fog up.

It is very simple to paint the headlight housing, which is what you are referring to ( I assume).
Take the headlight out of the car, take a heat gun to where the lens is sealed to the housing. Use a flat screw driver to pry apart the housings as you heat it. Once you get the lens off, you will want to take the housing apart (usually a couple of phillip screws). Next you will want to sand the chrome housing with 1000-2000 grit wet sand paper. Rough it up really good, and put a High temperature primer on it. Once that dries, use a high heat engine paint (black or whatever you like) and paint the housing. Once it dries, put it back together again, use some bonding agent (hondabond, clear silicon, etc..) to re-seal the housing. Let dry, put back on, looks tiiite!
Note: Your car will not reflect as much light at night, due to no mirror effect inside the housing, but it will look good.
The blue tinted lights are simply painted with some candy blue lacquer I think.

I looked @ the website and sent an e-mail to the e-mail posted on that site. He replied saying...
Sorry but, the headlight of my website are not mine!
Try looking German guys on the net, they are good on this things.

What about using that translucent black nightshade lens paint on top of the chrome back part? that would make it black but keep some of the reflectivity? is that a deceent idea?
Also why do just headlights and not the corner lamps also? it looks kinda weird having just the headlight done.
