Question Tinting, Decals and Corners

So, I've had a 2002 Midnight Blue Mica P5 for about 9 months now and I've finally decided to play with it.
This is lame, but I'm a newbie to the performance game and will wait a while before trying any major mods. I do however wanna tweak the look of my P5. Here are my questions?

1. The little orange reflectors on the sides near the front (corners I believe?) are ugly. Can those be changed to clear or white, and is that legal (I live in Georgia)?

2. While mirror tint is a big no-no in this state, what about some sort of white-frosted tint? I wanna go with a white/blue exterior or silver/blue kinda look to match the interior (blue/silver/carbon fiber). Any idea where to find that?

3. Where-o-where can a guy find decals?

As far as decals...... I use MODERN IMAGE SIGN WORKS. They have most of the current aftermarket "logo's" in house. Simply give them a call and tell them what you need. Turn around is about 4-7 day's.

tel: 714-375-0591
fax: 714-375-0594

Di dyou check the for sale section of the board. There is a tread there for club decals. I'm sure Daryl should be able to help you out. Also, do a search for other types on the board. There are a few treads going now.

they havent actually made bumper lights that would replace the orange ones, but ive seen others use celica bumper lens, and rx 7 bumper lens, both clear, both need some modification....do a search and check out the pics....for mine, i smoked them out so it looks better than orange ones...check em out in my www page...

Smoked Corners

Aha! So you're the one with the cool smoked corners. How did you do that? With the VHT stuff? Have you had any "legal" problems with that? and what bulbs are you using. I've been wanting to do that, but I haven't quite worked up the nerve to do it yet.

Thanks for any help.

For the tint issue yeah mirror tint is def. a big prob. but you should look into the tint that comes on the new Lexus's. I have heard it called platinum tint (at least that is what they call it around here) it gives a semi reflecitve finish without being mirror and a littler color. If you don't know what I am talking about just look at a new lexus RX300. It should look good against the dark blue, my friend wanted me to get it on my white one, but it wasn't the combo i was looking for.

white frost tint is strictly for bathrooms or similar privacy glass, it is NOT transperant and cannot be seen through.

the Lexus type tint is simply a reflective silver with a hint of green, some have blue, some are more grey. Also note, that all OEM tinted glass has the tint embedded into the glass, it's not a film or anything like that and does NOT offer the properties of a good quality film, not even the Lexus tint. It's simply for looks.

Yup, i can make decals for ya, any size, any style, any color. (well, damn close to anything)

yes, i do realize what you are saying but they do make a similar type film tint that is close to the Lexus. And this does offer more than looks, for it is a film. Just trying to give the guy a suggestion, but WTF like many have said before:
It is YOUR car and do what you LIKE to it.

Red face

Chris, there's a place called Sign Guy out of Lawernceville. Look them up if you're interested in some decals. They do good work, and it'll be local, so you could have some of your own designs if you'd like.
