what did you attach the wires to? the trunk light has a switch to make it turn on when the trunk is open.. so.. how did you wire it? where did you put it?

located in the top right corner near the rear strut tower, and where the swing arm of the trunk folds down into, there is a bracket with a hole in it for the OEM pin switch. You can find the OEM at a wrecking yard or dealer, or you can use an aftermarket pin switch.

Chassis ground is any point along the body that has a solid metal contact point (i.e. scrape away the paint so the metal is shinny)

re: trunk bulb

hi mazdaspeedwest, i haven't figure it out still.
Currently im looking at my fuse box located at the engine part

1 = head
2 = ptc
3 = main
4 = heater
5 = ig key
6 = abs
7 = btn
8 = cooling fan
9 = hazard
10 = ad fan
11 = stop
12 = d/l
13 = ---
14 = ---

Here are the things on fuse box, i did look into my manual too!
btw, my fuse for the ABS is missing, i mean its not there is that ok? Btw, my car is a Protege 95-98/GEN2 model 1.3 SOHC Carburetor. Some things/features are incomplete. Oh well!.

Anyway, is this the one? I mean the pin switch is located at the fuse box?. Btw is the pin switch also the fuse thing?

I'll try to post the picture of my fuse box so i can make more things clear!

thanks!
