Vehicle Security FAQ
I have made some decent progress on the FAQ, so i decided to upload it and see what the response is. It's very raw and has dead links...but i figure some info now, is better than none.
BTW, still looking for all gen Pros in the SoCal area who DO NOT have alarms yet. Great deals to be had, drop me a line.

Enjoy!

The alarm I have installed has a lot of selectable settings for the sounds and such. As it is, I have it set like this:
Self-arming - OFF
Lock - lights and chirp once
Unlock - lights and chirp twice
Remote-start - lights, chirp, and horn once. The parking lights also light up about 10 seconds after the car starts.
Alarm - lights, alarm tones, and horn.
All of the sound/light settings are changeable, although I still haven't figured out exactly how to do that.
This is an Audiovox alarm that I had installed at the dealer before I took delivery. Seems to be good system - my only complaint is that the key fobs lose battery power kinda fast - I had to replace the battery in the main fob after only 6 months.
Can't wait to install air horns - both for the alarm benefits, as well as gettin' ***** outta my way (especially the jaywalking idiots in Manhattan).
BTW - if anyone is not sure about getting remote start - go for it! It is the greatest.
