yeah tint & windex = . my cousin used windex on the tint on his truck, and it ruined the tint! the place that tinted my windows told me it was because of the alcohol in the windex. i think they make alcohol free windex now though. i believe i've also seen "tint safe" window cleaner at the store.

Pretty much any glass cleaner without amonia should be okay. I use the armor all and it's great.

Correct, it's the amonia you want to stay away from, any amonia-free cleaner is just fine.

The film is pourous <sp?> and the amonia seeps in a attacks the adhesive, leaving blotchy spots and can start a bubbling chain reaction. Will also make the film cloudy and very brittle.

Although, I use amonia every 6 months for a good cleaning, as it does work well.

Glass Plus works pretty well. It has no ammonia in it either, so it won't eat away at your tint.

A spray bottle with some water in it works wonders

thats what i use...

any amonia free cleaner will work, amonia tends to dye or discolor the tint. PPl with purple tint didnt wash their windows correctly and/or have crappy tint.

Rain-X also has a glass cleaner for tinted windows. It works pretty well... but if you don't put enough on it leaves these killer streaks on the windows that you can see when the sun reflects on it. On the bright side it does that water-repellent thing that Rain-X always does...
