i was wondering what the stock watts are on the factory CD deck on a es-gt protege 2003?

i couldn't tell you exactly, but usually around 15 to 18 watts rms per channel would be IMHO optimistic.. maybe somebody on here can produce actual figures

It's actually been measured at 17w, can't recall the source, but I remember it to be a fairly good one as I recall being impressed by it. Possibly over at msprotege.com There's a MUCH more active knowledgeable group of regulars over there.

i dont know but the factory deck blows on my car. Thats why im running 250x2 rms for my front and only speakers in the car besides the 1200 to the subs

heh, thats a pretty cool set up.. i'd imagine with the setup you have, the rear speaker openings make for good ports ?
