What kind of tint

Whatever you decide, go with a legal tint. Nothing more pain in the *** than getting pulled for tint being too dark. I don't know if laws fluctuate from state to state, but I believe here in SC, you can go 35% on the sides and 20% in the back. That might have changed though. Laws always change! Also, get it done right by some one who is very experienced or by a tint dealership. Nothing more annoying than bubbles all over the tint. Secondly, if you get it done, do it in the hottest part of the year. Tint adheres better in warmer climates and takes longer and doesn't stick as well when it is colder. Lastly, no windex unless you want purple looking windows and I always put masking tape over window handles or power switches to remind me don't touch!! Not to forget to not use the rear defrost or you will get lines in the back.

Yeah. I had to look into that stuff. The tint laws do differ from state to state so you will have to look up the legal limits in your area. And the windex thing... dont use the blue or pink stuff from the grocery store because they have ammonia D in them and that is what makes the tint turn purple. If you go to home depot or some place like that, you can get bottles of green windex that doesnt have the ammonia D in it and that is safe to use without ruining your tint.

I have 15% all around, and I have no problems at all seeing at night. It is pretty dark but not so dark, that I have every cop staring at me. I don't think you would be happy with 35%, it is just too light. In the daytime you can probably see right through it. My 15% is still see through when the light hits it right.

Hey i'm in SC, some one mentioned some laws about darkness on windows here, but i hadn't heard anything about that. Plus i don't really know anything about tinting (can it keep the inside of the car cooler??), but i'd like to have my windows a bit darker. What's a reasonable darkness and how easy do you think it would be to get pulled over for having the windows too dark?
(I always thought the rule was that if you can't see in when you are right in front of the window then it is too dark.)

here is mine after what the tint shop said was the darkest legal in SC. Do a google search for window tinting laws, and you should find your state's info.
The # is the amount of light allowed to pass through. Higher number, less tint. Lower number, more tint.
I got my moonroof mirrorred for extra heat protection from the sun
EDIT: For some reason, this isn't displaying as an image in the post.

Well I think it would depend on preference and how much you want to deal with cops...here in cali any kind of tint in the front windows will get us in trouble. So in florida I wouldnt know ...if they dont hassel I would go limo all out with reflective...tthat's pretty pimped out! Good luck!
