What wax do you guys suggest using?

Right now, I'm using the Zaino Bros. Wax and I'm happy but I want to see if there are any other waxes that could top the Zaino wax system. My P5's tail lights reflect perfectly off the rear bumper and i was shocked.
I wash my car every week and wax every other week since i found out that the wax builds on itself so the color will look deeper and wetter each time you wax. I've used Xymol in the past but the wax seems to not last as long as i would expect it to. I've also used Meguire's and wasn't truly satisfied with the results. Is there any others that would top Zaino???

all 3 you mentioned I like. I guess it's just a matter of preference.

I use good old Turtle wax. I have thought about using Mothers or Meguire's but I think they cost more and I have been pretty satisfied with the results.

I wouldn't wax it every other week. That's alot of wax. Heck, i work at a mazda dealership in columbus with all the detail supplies i could ever want, and i might wax mine once a month. You really don't need that much wax. We use 3M Paste wax, 3M 108 compound, and 3M 308 polish.

I recommend NXT, it's some good stuff. Easy to apply and easy to take off.

This might sound hokey, but I've been using one that Consumer Reports consistently rates the highest according to how they tested 'em. They wax the cars, then drive 'em through a cheese-ball stay-in-your-car car wash 50 times, then use a camera light meter to measure reflection/shine. It's cheap, comes off easy, and you can use it in broad daylight with the hood still hot from driving. It's called "Nu Finish" in a bright orange bottle. Meguires "Gold Class" works well too, but doesn't seem to last as long, and is a bitch to get all off.

Yup - comsumer reports did a test - BUT, they were not testing for things that serious car detailers or car lovers truly should look for. They tested some basics -

Two years ago - The Guru Report came out, they tested 46 products - from 2.99 to 89.99 - wax, synthetics . .

They tested for 8 weeks, blind tested - measured water drops, shine, clarity, depth, reflection etc . . . and have been pretty much accepted as the "current bible" of car care products . .

there were some surprises, and some pleasant reassurances that stuff people raved about was testing as the best . .

the challenge is this - everyone wants something different from what they use. if what you use gives you the results you love - then unless you are simply open minded, why try others? it took serious convincing to get me to try zaino 5 years ago . . and im still testing new stuff as it comes out . ..

its good to get input before tossing out money (unless its your business) - to see if others get the results you want . ..

maybe get your hands on the report - its pretty cheap these days . ..
